Babies

Ok.  Here is a test to see who is paying attention.  We had our 17 week ultrasound today and it looks like we are having a boy.  Any name suggestions?

  1. Congratulations! How is Micaela feeling? Is it as bad as last time?
Names, humm, I will have to ask the kids, they always have great names. Did you know that I am pregnant? I am about a month behind Micaela.

  2. Yay! We love boys (we love girls, too, but that is a moot point right now).

As for names... Jason says "hmmm... Ammon, Jr. came to mind." Or how about, "Rowdy" after his Uncle Marc (and that one kid on The Mouths of Babes).

We hope Micaela is feeling well. She's in our prayers.

  3. Billis is always a crowd favorite. And Carl, Carlson, Will, or Geoffrey. I don't know why, but the fresh prince just popped into mind. Ok. I don't actually suggest any of those, although Will is a nice name. And so is Davis. That is all for now.

  4. I am paying attention! I just didn't get to replies yet. Kevin suggests Uwe (Oo-veh. it's German). I don't suggest it. Hm. Little Boy Crapo. Marc would have him named Chauncy, I think. I'll have to pull out my list from before we named Rhys, because I'm drawing a total blank right now. I'll get back to you with some real ideas.

  6. Liz, Mom told me you were pregnant when I talked to her a few days ago. Congratulations. Micaela is having as rough a time as ever, unfortunately. We may have finally turned the corner on her nausea this week...just in time for gestational diabetes and edema to set in. We are trying to remain optimistic and keep our eye on the ultimate prize.

Oh, by the way. I am planning on going back to school this fall as well. So, wish me luck in finding a research group to help support me, and if anyone wants to give us financial aid or advice on financial aid, or invenst in our home, let me know...just thought I'd ask...

  7. I am paying attention too. We came up with quite few names when thinking of suggestions for Elizabeth last time... I'll have to work on it. I like Quinn and David. How about Michael Andrew? Kurt Jr is up for grabs. But Ammon was such a cute baby you may have to go with Ammon Jr. ;-)

  8. I am sorry Micaela is doing icky.
I have a list of names from the kids and they didn't disappoint.
    Max's suggestions: Dragon, Bob.
    Daisy's suggestions: Willie or William
Henry's suggestions: Dry Bones, King Boo, Dead Bowser and Ben
I liked Ivan when we were thinking of names for Henry, but as you can see, we didn't use it.

  9. We haven't had time yet to discuss it, maybe tonight at dinner. In the meantime, I think you should seriously consider Henry's suggestions. :)

  10. After more consideration, I second Dry Bones and Dragon. Dragon Will Crapo has a nice ring to it.

  11. Sabryna suggests Patrick, so Addy can have a brother called Paddy.

  12. I've always liked Winfield, Crispin, Daniel, David, and Enoch. And since it doesn't look like I'll get to name any of my own, I'll let you have them.
Jim suggests we add to Daisy's suggestion and make it: William James, (which is his name reversed.)
Abednego is a family name from Randy's side.
    Other family names:
Ole, Christian, Joseph, George, Herald, Hyrum, Zerah, Soren, Wilhelm, Fredrick, Harvey, Gilbert, Scott.
If you want to name him after his daddy, then "Bob" would work. (For those of you too young, or too young to the family, to remember, Ammon was called Bob at times.)

Michael would name him after both parents. :)

Micaela, we've got you on the prayer roll here, as well as in our prayers.

  13. So, Camelia, we were recently looking at the name Crispin in our baby name book. One of the variations was Crispianus and we decided that it would just be too cruel to name a kid Crispy-Anus Crap-o. It might work for someone else, though.

  14. Wait, Ammon, didn't you only name your sons Bobert? All 24 of them? Or was that only the sons you already had, that lived in Hawaii? I know, I know. You "have no recollection of that."

  15. Here are some of the less strange names I put on my list when I was expecting Rhys: Curtis, Byron, Daniel, Duncan, Elliot, Gabriel, Gideon, Ian, Jeremiah, Luke, Sean, Isaac. I also like Rowan, Victor, Brannon, and Gideon. I like the name Jade for a boy, but some people might think it's only a girl's name. (It's really the name of a rock, and rocks are very masculine.) I love the name Birch, but the frist time I ever typed it I did a double take when I realized how similar the R looks to a T, and so that might exclude it from the running in the future (but maybe not, who knows? None of you will until the baby's already here and that's his official name. So too bad for you. And this is all hypothetical--we're not expecting yet, unlike some people I know.)

  16. This weekend I had a strong impression that we need to have a Charlie in our family soon....So who's going to make this possible for me?! Anyone???....Anyone????

P.S. Carol, I too remember something about 24 sons...although all the details you present are unfamiliar to me....

  17. Yes, I think 24 Boberts are enough for one family. This one can have a unique name. Besides, I think Micaela might just die if I suggested we name the little guy Bobert, and then where would that get us?

  18. Okay, this is a great topic... Tammy thinks that it is great that Byron made Carols list. Tristanna is dying (no, litterally) to tell me her suggestions for names. So here goes; Arthur, Trever, Sky, Ocean, Roman. (that's it for now)

So, if you want any latino names let me know, I now have a long list of them ...

  19. Tristanna also likes Henry's suggestions!

  20. Can I just say I love my family!

  21. You can add Isaac to your list of suggestions. I like the name, but Jason knew some psycho 4 year old on his mission who was named Isaac, so I'm pretty sure we won't be using that one.

  22. Ok, so now I can be officially in The Crapo Forum because I am posting!
Caleb LeGrand was the name we were going to name Neoma--but she turned out to be a girl.
I still have a few girl names for anyone who is interested.
I edited my profile, but I don't know if the info stayed. marfeb is for MarchFebruary (mine and Hugh's birthday months.)
